Cross-Country Skiing / Snowshoeing in Maine 3/14/08 3/17/08 (Fri - Mon) Experience the spectacular Maine Woods while x-country skiing cabin to cabin (w/ possible snow shoe option). 3+ days of skiing 7+ miles per day with daypack only. Skiing difficulty is intermediate on mostly snowmobile packed BC base. Cost of $499 pp includes RT transportation from CT, shuttles to trail head, lodging, showers, sumptuous dining (family-style dinner, breakfast, trail lunch) and Sun. night sauna in cozy backcountry lodges. $50 pp will benefit AMCs Maine Woods Initiative. "Snow shoeing" option will be implemented if enough interest is received. Co-Leader welcome (will discount price for co-lead if trip fills). Location: AMC Medawisla to Little Lyford, Greenville, ME

Maine Woods Initiative Fundraiser! Pancake Breakfast
Sunday, 9/23/2007, 10am -- CFPA
Come join us for a 'yummy' pancake breakfast fund raiser in support of the Maine Woods Initiative. Sunday, 9/23, 10:00 a.m - noon, at the CFPA Building, 16 Meriden Rd., Rockfall, CT (Middletown/ Cromwell area). Cost is $8.00 if you RSVP to the leaders by 9/15/2007 or $10.00 at the door.
