History
The East of the River group is a collection of dynamic people who happen to live east of the Connecticut River.
We offer two hikes of varying distance and difficulty every Tuesday and Thursday primarily in eastern or central CT. Most regular hikes begin at 9:30am or 10am for the easier hike. Sign up above to receive detailed email descriptions of EOR hikes only or all CT hikes including EOR hikes on the chapter Hiking page.
The chapter phone line, 866-576-6994, has up to date weekly descriptions of these hikes. Select option 2 for Tuesday hikes or option 3 for Thursday hikes. The hike descriptions can also be found here. Look for Tuedays and Thursdays.
The East of the River group hosts periodic potluck dinners and holiday celebrations, and welcomes everyone, both members and non members, to participate in its activities.
